REPORT: Sessions Announces Charges For 601 People In Largest Bust In History

Shakedown, break down, you’re busted!!

The Trump administration has made it a priority to crack down on crime. Whether it is illegal immigration, violent crime, welfare, fraud, or the numerous other crimes out there. However, nobody expected for the Attorney General to take such sweeping action to crack down on it and so quickly. Which is why the latest announcement by the Department of Justice regarding 601 American citizens being charged en masse is absolutely intense.

The Department of Justice recently announced the following during a press statement:

“Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex M. Azar III, announced today the largest ever health care fraud enforcement action involving 601 charged defendants across 58 federal districts, including 165 doctors, nurses and other licensed medical professionals, for their alleged participation in health care fraud schemes involving more than $2 billion in false billings. Of those charged, 162 defendants, including 76 doctors, were charged for their roles in prescribing and distributing opioids and other dangerous narcotics. Thirty state Medicaid Fraud Control Units also participated in today’s arrests. In addition, HHS announced today that from July 2017 to the present, it has excluded 2,700 individuals from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and all other Federal health care programs, which includes 587 providers excluded for conduct related to opioid diversion and abuse.

Attorney General Sessions and Secretary Azar were joined in the announcement by Acting Assistant Attorney General John P. Cronan of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, Deputy Director David L. Bowdich of the FBI, Assistant Administrator John Martin of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Deputy Inspector General Gary Cantrell of the HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG), Deputy Chief Eric Hylton of IRS Criminal Investigation (CI), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Deputy Administrator and Director of the Center for Program Integrity Alec Alexander and Director Dermot F. O’Reilly of the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS).

Today’s enforcement actions were led and coordinated by the Criminal Division, Fraud Section’s Health Care Fraud Unit in conjunction with its Medicare Fraud Strike Force (MFSF) partners, a partnership between the Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney’s Offices, the FBI and HHS-OIG. In addition, the operation includes the participation of the DEA, DCIS, IRS-CI, Department of Labor, other various federal law enforcement agencies, and State Medicaid Fraud Control Units.

The charges announced today aggressively target schemes billing Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE (a health insurance program for members and veterans of the armed forces and their families), and private insurance companies for medically unnecessary prescription drugs and compounded medications that often were never even purchased and/or distributed to beneficiaries. The charges also involve individuals contributing to the opioid epidemic, with a particular focus on medical professionals involved in the unlawful distribution of opioids and other prescription narcotics, a particular focus for the Department. According to the CDC, approximately 115 Americans die every day of an opioid-related overdose.

“Health care fraud is a betrayal of vulnerable patients, and often it is theft from the taxpayer,” said Attorney General Sessions. “In many cases, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists take advantage of people suffering from drug addiction in order to line their pockets. These are despicable crimes. That’s why this Department of Justice has taken historic new steps to go after fraudsters, including hiring more prosecutors and leveraging the power of data analytics. Today the Department of Justice is announcing the largest health care fraud enforcement action in American history. This is the most fraud, the most defendants, and the most doctors ever charged in a single operation—and we have evidence that our ongoing work has stopped or prevented billions of dollars’ worth of fraud. I want to thank our fabulous partners with the FBI, DEA, our Health Care Fraud task forces, HHS, the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, IRS Criminal Investigation, Medicare, and especially the more than 1,000 federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers from across America who made this possible. By every measure we are more effective at finding and prosecuting medical fraud than ever.”

“Every dollar recovered in this year’s operation represents not just a taxpayer’s hard-earned money—it’s a dollar that can go toward providing healthcare for Americans in need,” said HHS Secretary Azar. “This year’s Takedown Day is a significant accomplishment for the American people, and every public servant involved should be proud of their work.”

According to court documents, the defendants allegedly participated in schemes to submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and private insurance companies for treatments that were medically unnecessary and often never provided. In many cases, patient recruiters, beneficiaries and other co-conspirators were allegedly paid cash kickbacks in return for supplying beneficiary information to providers, so that the providers could then submit fraudulent bills to Medicare. Collectively, the doctors, nurses, licensed medical professionals, health care company owners and others charged are accused of submitting a total of over $2 billion in fraudulent billings. The number of medical professionals charged is particularly significant, because virtually every health care fraud scheme requires a corrupt medical professional to be involved in order for Medicare or Medicaid to pay the fraudulent claims. Aggressively pursuing corrupt medical professionals not only has a deterrent effect on other medical professionals, but also ensures that their licenses can no longer be used to bilk the system.

“Healthcare fraud touches every corner of the United States and not only costs taxpayers money, but also can have deadly consequences,” said FBI Deputy Director Bowdich. “Through investigations across the country, we have seen medical professionals putting greed above their patients’ well-being and trusted doctors fanning the flames of the opioid crisis. I want to thank the agents, analysts and our law enforcement partners in every field office who work each unacceptable to stop these criminals and hold them accountable for their actions.”

Considering the support that President Trump has been giving to local communities and states to fight the opioid epidemic this latest development is not shocking. It is not just poor lower class Americans who were targeted here, everyone was. Including doctors who prescribe opioids and fraudulently charge for services and prescribe drugs that do not need to. Hopefully, this will send a strong message to everyone out that that social services like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are not to be scammed and taken advantage of. They are there to give people a hand up and not a handout. No longer will the White House stand idly by why people perpetuate fraud against the federal government with these benefits.

This type of fraud is something that is an incredible drain on the American taxpayer. While every day average Americans struggle to pay their bills and deal with unprecedented taxes others are taking advantage of the system and the American people. The president and his departmental agencies understand that cracking down on this crime is an act on behalf of the American people.

Share if you agree this gross type of injustice is unacceptable.

Share if you believe that Attorney General Jeff Sessions did the right thing.

Share if you think that the criminals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

First Video of Latest Trump Star Vandal Swinging Pickaxe Shows What Happened – Spread Like Wildfire

Published

on

TMZ is now reporting that the LAPD has released the first video and has made an arrest in connection with the unhinged destruction of President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. In it, a man used a pickaxe to unleash his intense frustration and anger at the president and shred the star to pieces.

The suspect, who has been identified as 24-year-old Austin Clay, was arrested on Wednesday and released early Thursday morning on bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s online records. A department spokesman later said he had been held on bail of $20,000 on a charge of felony vandalism. It wasn’t immediately clear who posted bail for Mr. Clay but unsubstantiated rumors were circulating that the money came from a gofundme page which was set up right after the arrest.

In this latest incident, LAPD later confirmed that they received a call around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning claiming that someone had taken a pickaxe to President Trump’s Hollywood star. The police later confirmed that the vandal had pulled a pickax out of a guitar case and proceeded to smash the star which is located on the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

Here is more on this via Hot Air:

“It’s a victory for La Résistance, one supposes, but mainly just another demonstration of empty nihilism. Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame got attacked by a vandal with a pickaxe this morning, the latest in a series of attempts to deface the installation. This attempt was a little more complete than others:

President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was destroyed Wednesday morning by a man with a pickax that witnesses say he concealed in a guitar case, police said.

Officers were called around 3:30 a.m. to the star’s location on Hollywood Boulevard near Highland Avenue, where they found a small pile of rubble in place of the star that Trump received in January 2007 for his role in the NBC show “The Apprentice.”

The suspect later turned himself in to Beverly Hills police, after having conducted the vandalism in full view of a number of witnesses:

Even at in the pre-dawn hours, there were a number of witnesses to the destruction, including two security guards and a Walgreens worker who was on her way to work.

“I just seen a guy going to town on, I guess, the ground or whatever,” Patricia Cox said. “I didn’t know what was going on. …

A man turned himself in at the Beverly Hills Police Department at about 4:30 a.m. in connection with the destroyed star.

Trump’s star had to be replaced after being vandalized in October 2016 by a man dressed as a construction worker. James Otis used a pix ax and a sledgehammer then, and later pleaded no contest to felony vandalism.

Since Trump announced his candidacy and his subsequent election, the star has been a magnet for visitors unhappy with the current political climate. It has been defaced by tourists and dogs, had a model of a border wall built around it, and covered with “I resist” stickers.

All of which make perpetrators feel good about themselves, and … well, that’s just about it. All of these attacks, on a sidewalk or on other such locations, are the political equivalent of masturbation. It doesn’t even have the political impact of an honest, legal protest, which requires at least some coherent thought and rhetoric. Instead of mindless lust, it’s mindless rage, directed at an object no one really cares about except the people who will have to pay to have it repaired. And repaired and replaced it inevitably will be, which makes this exercise entirely pointless except for the revenue the city will get from the fines it will impose on the perpetrator.

But hey, at least the perp didn’t have to do any real work, like make an argument or organize to change the status quo. Probably because he’s incapable of either, frankly.”

What is wrong with these people? It’s okay to not agree with the president, or have voted for Hillary Clinton instead of him, and express your own opinion about what he’s doing in office, but it’s unacceptable for an adult to do that by vandalizing. What makes it worse is that in doing so, he’s supported by many others who somehow accept this as a good expression of speech and allegedly financially support him in doing so. That, combined with the notoriety he receives from it, is a winning combination for attention deprived activists.

Bail handouts or not, until some of these vandals and anti-Trump attackers are locked up for pulling stunts like this, things won’t stop. Maybe if all these so-called “resist” people focused on what they could do for their own lives to improve them, rather than blaming all their issues on Trump being president, they would find meaning in their life, rather than lurking around in the middle of the night destroying public property.

McDonald’s Worker Bodyslams Female Customer Over A Milkshake And Free Drink

It seemed more like Burger King with all those ‘Whoppers’ delivered!

And in the latest video showing America’s decline, we now have an episode which has gone viral where which shows a McDonald’s worker brutally beating up a customer after she apparently tried filling up a water cup with free soda.

The fight was posted on Facebook and Instagram by user Marie Dayag who said the fight allegedly started when the customer tried putting soda in a free water cup instead of paying for it. Taking to Instagram, Dayag wrote, “So this happened at McDonald’s… the lady asked for a water cup and supervisor shut down the soda machine because she wasn’t letting her get a free soda.”

As you can clearly see in the video above the two women arguing before the fight breaks out. Although the audio is a bit difficult to hear. At one point the woman behind the counter can be heard saying, “since you can’t afford one.” The fight seems to break out after the customer hurls a milkshake at the employee, which leads to the staff member storming out toward her. The customer can then be seen picking up what looks like a metal tray and hitting the employee over the head with it.

When the employee reaches the customer she grabs her by the hair and begins punching down on her head and face non-stop. The employee then proceeds to pick her up and throw her over a nearby table as other employees and even a customer run over to try and break up the brawl.

Another McDonald’s worker tries to move the customer away, but the customer then begins fighting her instead which restarts the brawl when she picks up a chair and walks back to the employee who is easily disarmed by the employee who is several times her size. By this time the staff member can be heard yelling ‘my momma ain’t dead, you respect my momma,’ though it is not clear what this is in reference to. A few more angry words are then exchanged but no more punches are thrown before the footage ends.

It hasn’t been confirmed where this fight happened but Dayag’s Facebook page claims she lives in Nevada and was born in California.

Whatever happened to America? I know that nowadays we see these episodes more and more because everyone is always carrying a smartphone in their pockets. But at what point did we lose our way? What happened to manners and respect for other people?

Although we don’t know exactly what happened here the result should embarrass every American! Don’t you agree?
