Former Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett went on the attack Wednesday, accusing President Trump of “attacking black culture” with his criticism of NFL player protests during the national anthem.
Speaking to Bleacher Report, the former NFL player slammed Trump for his criticism of the protests and claimed that Trump’s attacks are just a way to tear down black role models.
“It’s the easiest way for him to attack the culture of black people,” the Super Bowl 51 champion said. “He sees the black athlete as someone that black people look up to. So he thinks you can attack black culture by attacking black NFL players.”
Bennett also implied that he thinks Trump’s voters are racially motivated. “Also, attacking black players helps him with his base,” he said.
Or, he pontificated, “maybe there’s no rhyme or reason. Maybe he’s just an asshole.”
Bennett has made his feelings about Trump known before. Last year he noted that he would not visit the Trump White House to celebrate his 2016 Super Bowl win, as a member of the New England Patriots.
He also took to Twitter to slam singer Kanye West for saying nice things about Trump. “So Kanye didn’t take the time to vote. And now he holding on to Trump’s coattail like Peter Pettigrew to Lord Voldemort. Kanye Pettigrew,” Bennett tweeted (then deleted) in December of 2016.

NFL Team Announces They Will Go Beyond Fines When Penalizing Players Who Kneel For Anthem
They’re not gonna like this!!
At least one NFL team has come to the conclusion that their money-losing race-baiting nonsense kneelers who ruin entertainment by abusing their platform to protest during work hours could be punished by suspending the players who engage in such pathetic behavior. I’m talking about the players who take a knee to protest and the Miami Dolphins are about to start punishing people for not having “Proper Anthem Conduct!” After a horrid 6-10 season last year, the Dolphins probably thought it was the least they could to do bring back fans who boycotted the NFL after a wave of activist millionaires started taking a knee. The only time “taking a knee” ever meant anything was when Tonya Harding allegedly had someone take Nancy Kerrigan’s knee back in 1994.
The Dolphins new policy suggests that any player who protests on the field during the national anthem might face a suspension of up to four games. That’s quite a few games lost for being a social justice warrior. Hopefully, the players who face this suspension are also losing their paycheck for those weeks.
This is quite an improvement for the NFL as teams with protesting players should always suspend them. It’s not their personal time, nor their platform to protest on. These players are at work and protesting during work hours should always be punishable by the boss. If any of us protested at work, then we would probably be disciplined too, especially if it made our customers turn their backs. Why should it be any different for football players?
“Miami Dolphins players who protest on the field during the national anthem could be suspended for up to four games under a team policy issued this week.
The “Proper Anthem Conduct” section is just one sentence in a nine-page discipline document provided to The Associated Press by a person familiar with the policy who insisted on anonymity because the document is not public. It classifies anthem protests under a large list of “conduct detrimental to the club,” all of which could lead to a paid or unpaid suspension, a fine or both.
Miami’s anthem policy comes after the NFL decided in May that teams would be fined if players didn’t stand during “The Star-Spangled Banner” while on the field. The league left it up to teams on how to punish players. None of the team policies have been made public.
The NFL rule forbids players from sitting or taking a knee if they are on the field or sidelines during the national anthem, but allows them to stay in the locker room if they wish. The new league rules were challenged this month in a grievance by the players union.”
The ‘take a knee’ nonsense dates back to when Colin Kaepernick was protesting and we all see how that turned out. He’s no longer in the league and at this point, there’s no chance for him to come back. He keeps getting older and likely deteriorating. See what social justice did to him? It cost him his career. What does he do now? Hopefully, he saved some of the money he made while playing, that way he can survive, but he could have been earning millions more for him to spend, donate, or invest. If he’s broke, then oh well. Serves him right for dissing the American flag like that.
When people abuse their platform in entertainment, then fans are often turned off by it. We watch sports, television programs, and movies as a form of entertainment and escapism. We want to be immersed into a story, drama, and something that’s simply there to keep us entertained for an hour or two. As soon as people start protesting during sports, then some people are like “no thanks” and immediately shut it down.
People don’t like protesters and they don’t like their entertainment ruined. What happens when you combine the two? It’s like mixing bleach and ammonia. It’s a very bad idea and it could kill their careers.
We have a few months until the regular season begins for the NFL. That means a lot of teams have plenty of time to get their punishments ready for the disrespectful players.
Major Sports Star Showed Overpaid Athletes To Shut Up About Trump, Gives Up Millions And Joins Military
What a real man looks like.
Overpaid millionaires in sports could sit down and learn a serious lesson from reading this story. No more talking about President Donald Trump. No more taking a knee. No more nonsense out of this one big time football star who comes from Michigan State. We’re talking about Jalen Watts-Jackson, the football defensive back who is giving up his final year of eligibility to pursue a career in the Air Force. Here’s a guy who recognizes his talents off the field and wants to make a difference for America, not a stand against it. This is a guy who sees a bigger picture and wants to do something productive that will last a lifetime and provide for his family.
The best part about Watts-Jackson is that he has absolutely no regrets about cutting his football career short and giving up a chance to possibly play in the NFL. He’s been surrounded by good people and sees the influence they’ve made on his life. He will have a chance to make a lasting impression that goes further than the 100 yards of a football field when he steps into the Air Force ready to serve and dedicate his life to the United States. His interest is in cyber systems operation and security in the Air Force which sounds awesome.
He’s one guy who can look liberals in the eye and say he did more for America in one day than they ever will their entire miserable liberal life. There’s no taking a knee when you’re standing for the country, unless it’s done the hard way.
“The former Spartans’ defensive back, who will always be remembered for his 38-yard winning touchdown off a botched Michigan punt attempt in 2015 — lifting MSU to an improbable 27-23 victory at Michigan Stadium — plans to forego his final season of eligibility and join the Air Force.
“A lot of people were confused — they thought I was going into the Air Force to play football,” Watts-Jackson said Friday. “My dad was in the military, and he used to joke: ‘If you can’t figure out what to do in life, go to the military.’ It’s pretty ironic it ended up happening. I feel like it was God’s plan.”
Leaving football behind, even though he could have returned to East Lansing as a fifth-year senior in the fall, was tough for Watts-Jackson, who also considered playing elsewhere as a graduate transfer.
Instead, he’ll specialize in cyber systems operation and security in the Air Force.
“I thought about it for some time, and when I finally made a decision, it was pretty late in the process,” he said. “Walking away from football wasn’t easy, but it’s something I’m going to stick with. I’m excited for the next chapter in my life to begin.
“Actually, my major at Michigan State was advertising. I started drawing interest in (cyber systems operation and security) during my junior year, but by then, I was too deep into advertising. My cousin brought up the Air Force program, and once I started researching it, became very interested. My decision was influenced by good people around me who served our country.”
Jalen Watts-Jackson might be leaving his college football career, but he will always have this miracle touchdown score to defeat his archrival! He became an instant legend that day!
If there’s one thing that’s great about Watts-Jackson, it’s his ability to think ahead and make a decision. It’s his desire to succeed further than chasing the dream of making the NFL. If he stayed in school under his former major of advertising, one that he no longer seemed interested in, then what would he do after college if he didn’t make it to the NFL? He’d be stuck with a degree in something he lost interest in and be struggling to find his way.
The other thing that’s great about him is that he’s not one of those “take a knee” liberal athletes who place their personal nonsense above their job. He’s not a guy who abuses his platform like all the horrible NFL players kneeling or the Hollywood actors protesting and acting up while their friends commit sexual assault behind the scenes.
Watts-Jackson is a proud American who was raised with critical thinking skills that allow him to make better decisions for his future. That’s something that liberals aren’t capable of.
